No official publication is mentioning this, but most of the cabinets in these photos are VERY simple in style. Right now, most people are attracted to the "inset" style of cabinet rather than the "overlay". Keep in mind, the cost goes up quite a bit when you choose this style. Also, think carefully before saving money with MDF, as I explained in an earlier post
